Maegan Amanda is a consultant to inspiring brands and individuals who want to stand for something while they stand out.

She served as Arianna Huffington’s Chief of Staff in the early days of The Huffington Post, launched Variety’s Wilshire and Washington podcast about Hollywood and politics, and was the Founding Curator of Upworthy. She began her career as a reporter for The Chicago Tribune and has written for many esteemed publications. She appeared as a regular analyst for FOX Business with Neil Cavuto and CNN for OutFront’s Strike Team. Maegan has spoken for innovative organizations like the Paley Center for Media, and taught courses at USC's Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.

Her most personal work is with birdbrain, a non-profit she founded with her mother, Dianna. The organization is a clothing brand that uses the proceeds from its sales to provide art therapy kits to people impacted by sexual trauma. The flagship birdbrain community showroom opened in Palm Springs, CA in 2017. The first pop up community showroom was held in Manhattan's Hudson Yards in April 2019 and continues to Los Angeles, Nashville, and more.

Maegan is a graduate of UCLA and Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism. Go Bruins! Grrrr Wildcats! She lives in Los Angeles, but you'd be more likely to find her in Palm Springs.

Don't ever ask her about the impending robot takeover or you'll be trapped for hours. PRO TIP: Be sure to bring a Fountain Diet Coke to the meeting to impress her.
